Answer:
A peripheral device in a computer is an input-output device used in entering data for storage or processing information output.
Three Types of Peripheral Devices
- Input devices - used in entering data in a computer then converting it to a code or language understandable to the computer program. Examples of input devices are keyboard, mouse, stylus pen, fingerprint sensor, camera, and microphone.
- Output devices - display the information which is understandable to the user. Examples are monitor, printer, headset, loudspeakers.
- Storage devices - use to save and store information. Examples are USB, hard drives, CDs, DVDs.
